About Me
I am a results-driven and highly organized educator with a passion for instructional design and a solid background in teaching. I am seeking a position in instructional design to leverage my expertise in curriculum development, project management, and virtual training facilitation. I hold an M. Ed. degree with a specialized focus on curriculum and instruction, complemented by a decade of professional experience in both classroom and online teaching.
I have spent 10 years teaching in public elementary school classrooms, including a year teaching completely remote using Canvas. I loved the challenge of learning new technology and designing ways to engage students at home. This experience inspired me to consider a lateral career move into designing eLearning as an instructional designer.
Other career experiences that I loved include working as a J-1 Visa specialist in my university's International Office, working as an international family housing resident assistant, and working as an adult community education teacher.
As I reflect on my career and life so far, I know that the skills gained via these experiences contribute to making me an excellent employee, co-worker, and friend.
